What to Bring for Your Kayak Fishing:
November-March:
- Lightweight or Breathable Waders (Stocking-Foot or Boot-Foot), Rain Jacket, Quick Drying Long
Sleeve Shirt, Extra Set of Dry Clothes, Insect Repellant, 30+ Sun Screen, Polarized Sunglasses.
- Florida Saltwater License
April-October:
- Quick Drying Pants or Shorts for paddling/wading (Waders Optional),Wading Shoes or Flats/Kayak
Type Booties (thick soled for wading on oyster bars),Fast Drying Long or Short Sleeve Shirt, Rain
Jacket, Extra Set of Dry Clothes, Insect Repellant. 30+ Sun Screen Polarized Sunglasses.

Fishing Gear Recommendations Should You Choose to Bring Your Own Tackle:
- Rod: 61/2' - 71/2' (Spin or Baitcast) 10lb - 18lb test lne, 15lb - 25lb test leader
- Fly Rod: 9' - (8 wt. or 9 wt.)
- Fly Line(s):
- Our Primary Line - Intermediate Sinking Tip (best with a clear tip) or Full Intermediate Sinking line
- Full Floating Line
- Quick Descent Type (18 feet or longer) Sinking Tip line Leaders:
- 7 1/2'- 9' 14-20lb. commercial leader.
(Alternatively, you can make your own with three sections of soft nylon knotted together: 3.5 feet of 40 lb., 2.5 feet of 20lb. and 2 feet of 15lb. tippet.)
- Flies:
Clousers - Size 4 to 2/0 in Chartreuse/White, Brown/White, Black/White and Black.
Deceivers - Size 4 to 2/0 in Red/White, Chartreuse/White, Brown/White and Black/White.
Shrimp and Crab patterns also can perform well.
